Welcome to A New Parent’s Guide to
Money, a pilot program for 2009-2010
developed by students and faculty of the
Gerald Schwartz School of Business and
Information Systems and the Department of
Adult Education at St. Francis Xavier
University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
A
New Parent’s Guide to Money was
developed for new parents in the regions
serviced by the Guysborough Antigonish
Strait Health Authority. The program is
designed to give new parents the tools they
need to make better decisions about their
money and to take control of their finances
for the benefit of their whole family.
This web site is a supplement to the book
A New Parent’s Guide to Money. As
such, it’s full of tools, resources, forms,
contacts and FAQ designed specifically to
help new parents like you!
The link on the
bottom right corner of the page will give
you access to A New Parent’s Guide to
Money in PDF format, which serves as a
ready reference for each of the sections as
you explore them.
Our website is organized
much like your book; five easy steps, which
are each broken into sections. To get
started, click the buttons on the right and
go to the step you wish to explore.
We
recommend starting with Step 1:
Understanding your Benefits.
